Michael is the Geographic Information System (GIS) Lead Teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools in northern VA. In this role, he oversees the dual-enrollment Geospatial Science course and its’ partnership with James Madison University’s Geospatial Semester. In addition, he works to train teachers and incorporate GIS into the K-12 curriculum. Currently, every one of LCPS’s schools has an ArcGIS Online organization, with the goal of every student in the school system using GIS at least once during the school year. He also teaches Earth Science and Geospatial Science at Heritage High School in Leesburg, VA. Michael holds an MS degree in Geospatial Information Systems, an MS degree in K-12 Administration, and a BS in Meteorology.
